Participants will visit three distinctive Montessori settings: Santa Croce Montessori School, working with children aged 2–6; Agrinido L’Orto dei Pulcini, a nature-based Montessori-inspired setting for children aged 2–6 on a working organic farm; and the International Montessori School, catering for students from approximately 2–18 years.
Across these visits, participants will observe learning environments in action, see Montessori materials being used by children and explore the role of the educator in supporting independence, concentration, curiosity and self-directed learning. The program will also include professional discussions with local educators and opportunities to consider how Montessori principles evolve across different ages and educational settings.
A visit to a Montessori training centre will provide further professional learning, including a hands-on workshop exploring Montessori materials, their purpose and how they support learning and development.
